This dish is one of theEasy Vietnamese recipes. It has the best combination of the sweetness of fresh shrimp, meat and crunchy mushroom. I can guarantee you that you can never get tired of eating it. On the top, the dish is covered with a rich sweet & sour sauce. As for many Vietnamese, tofu is very nutritious and can be eaten as main dish with rice which is quite appealing.
Ingredients:
- 1 box of tofu
- 200g fresh shrimp
- 200g minced meat (can be pork or chicken depended on your taste)
- 100g crab/ breech mushroom or just mushrooms will do
- 1 egg
- 2 spoons of Tapioca Starch
- Salt, Pepper, Oyster sauce, pork broth mix, dried onion
- For the sauce: 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sweet & sour chilli sauce, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 spoon of sesame oil, 1 spoon of oyster sauce, pepper, green onions.
Porcess:
Step 1: Using tissue to dry out the tofu, cut it in half. Then continue cutting each part into 3 equal slices.
Step 2: Crab mushroom’s root is cut off and washed with water. After clean the green onions and minced it.
Step 3: Mince 2/3 the mushrooms, the rest will be stirred with the sauce.
Step 4: Peeled shrimp, draw the black line on the back out, cleaned, put them in the basket to dry out. We can use the mortar to mill the shrimp. Mix all the minced meat, egg and dried onion with a little pepper, 1 spoon of salt, ½ spoon of pork broth mix. Most easy Vietnamese recipes like steamed sweet and sour fresh tofu with minced shrimp, meat require to make carefully this step.
Step 5: Marinate it in 30 minutes.
Step 6: Put the tofu in a valley-shape plate.
Step 7: On the top, you put a little of shrimp and meat on the tofu. Continue with a small slice of tofu, next is the mixture of shrimp and meat. Finally, we finish with a small slice of tofu on top.
Step 8: Put the disk into the stove, steam it in 20 – 25 minutes until it is cooked. Although this dish is one of easy Vietnamese recipes, but with this step you should concentrate on steaming tofu. If not, it will be broken all.
Step 9: Use a small pot, fried onions till you can smell it, put the rest of the mushrooms into the pot and stir, slowly add the sauce till the mixture is thickened, add the spices and minced green onions.
